I was a stand-in for Bian on HBO's Watchmen. According to GDOL Minor Laws, Hoang-Rappaport (who was 13-yrs-old) was only allowed to work 8 hrs/day. A full set day averaged 12+ hrs so as a result, I got to directly work with lead actors (Oscar-winning Regina King & Hong Chau).
EP. 4: "If You Don't Like My Story, Write Your Own"
DIRECTOR: Andrij Parekh (Blue Valentine)
CINEMATOGRAPHER: Gregory Middleton (Game of Thrones)
EP. 7: "An Almost Religious Awe"
DIRECTOR: David Semel (American Horror Story)
CINEMATOGRAPHER: Xavier Grobet (Before Night Falls)
I also did recruiting, background, & stunt while simultaneously working as a set-translator + production assistant (for 300+ bg actors) on the "Vietnamese festival scene" in EP. 7. I was one of only two individuals that had to be both camera- & production-ready on the entire set, committed to working back-to-back for 3 days straight like so.
